Transforming the Art of Dental Care with Modern Technology

At Plantation Dental Studio and Implant Center, we’ve decided to take dental care to the next level by incorporating the use of modern technology into our daily treatments. Whether it’s analyzing the state of a patient’s mouth with digital X-rays, preparing a treatment plan with the help of a 3D model produced by our CT/Cone Beam Scanner, or capturing digital impressions to create an accurate and comfortable restoration, we believe our patients deserve the best. Feel free to learn more about the technology we offer and call us if you have any questions.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide is a safe and reliable sedative that is used to alleviate dental anxiety so that Dr. Lamas can perform necessary treatment on a patient’s mouth. Commonly referred to as laughing gas, its mild effects prove to be just enough to keep individuals comfortable in the treatment chair and unaffected by their surroundings. What makes it a preferred option among patients is that returning to work or school for the remainder of the day is possible because of how quickly the gas dissipates once it is turned off.

Digital X-Rays

Dentists must be able to see the entirety of a patient’s mouth, which means using devices and equipment that highlight what is happening beneath the gumline. With Dexis digital X-rays, Dr. Lamas and our team can see clearer images that are projected onto a nearby screen for easy analysis. The high-resolution scans provide an accurate look so that we can properly diagnose a problem and administer timely treatment. The best part is that these X-rays emit less radiation, making them a safer alternative to traditional radiographs.

CT/ Cone Beam Scanner

Our CT/Cone Beam Scanner is one of the latest innovations Dr. Lamas can use to view the interior of your head and mouth, highlighting the various components that must be considered before performing dental implant surgery or other similar procedures. The high-resolution images that come together to form a clear and accurate 3D model make it easier for our team to prepare a treatment plan that ensures supreme precision that leads to successful, long-lasting results.

Digital Impression System

The art of crafting a dental restoration used to require cold and often messy dental putty. When biting down to create the mold, patients faced prolonged appointments and less-than-enjoyable experiences. Fortunately, Dr. Lamas no longer turns to these traditional methods but instead, uses the Trios Color digital impression system. By scanning a patient’s teeth with its handheld device, it can produce a highly accurate model that technicians can use to build dental crowns, bridges, or veneers. When finished, the final product will fit more comfortably and correctly, which means satisfied patients and healthier smiles.
